- Professor Wilund’s area of interest is exercise science.
- Research Interests
- Professor Wilund’s research examines the effect of exercise training and dietary modifications on diseases associated with abnormal cholesterol metabolism. He is investigating the effect of endurance exercise training on the development of cardiovascular disease and cholesterol gallstones in mouse models of these diseases. Additionally, he is also interested in assessing the impact of endurance exercise training and dietary macronutrient manipulations on plasma sterol levels, and novel markers of coronary atherosclerosis, calcification, and the metabolic syndrome.
