Kyle T. Ebersole, Ph.D., LAT

  • Degree
  • Ph.D., Exercise Physiology, University of Nebraska, 2000
  • Area of Professional Interest
  • Athletic training and exercise physiology; injury prevention and rehabilitation; evaluation of muscle function during maximal, submaximal, and fatiguing muscle actions and functional tasks.
  • Research Interests
  • Dr. Ebersole's research has focused on the simultaneous recording of electromyography (EMG) and mechanomyography (MMG) in an attempt to elucidate the electrical and mechanical components, respectively, of force production during various muscle actions. Specific interests include examination of the role of neuromuscular response characteristics of the quadriceps and hamstring muscles as a mechanism of non-contact knee injuries as well as the relative contribution to knee injury rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Ebersole is interested in the influence of rehabilitation protocols and strength training on the electrical and mechanical properties of muscle function.
