Campus Facilities

Research conducted by the EPL also utilizes several campus and local facilities, including two indoor tracks for year-round testing and exercise interventions, as well as functional magnetic resonance imaging Beckman Institute(fMRI) facilities at the UIUC Biomedical Imaging Center and Carle Hospital and Clinics.

Cross-campus laboratories are an integral part of our larger research endeavor in exercise, aging, and psychological function. The EPL collaborates with Professors Art Kramer and Monica Fabianiphoto of brain of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology and the Department of Psychology. Additionally, the EPL is closely connected with the UIUC Initiative on Aging, participating in weekly seminars, annual meetings, and preparing grant proposals.
