Comments from undergraduates about their experiences working in the EPL

Who should look into this kind of opportunity?

An undergraduate research assistant in the exercise psychology laboratory needs to have a high level of organization, an affinity for working with others, and enough free time to become a contributing member of the team.

I believe if you are willing to take on the tasks that I stated above, you are a motivated individual, hard worker, and like to interact with people, then working in the lab is for you. However, if you are and individual who just wants some class credit, don’t care much for detail, or are looking for easy work, then you most likely would not fit into the lab atmosphere.

It is necessary to be highly motivated and interested in the study if one is going to be a successful contributor to the lab. In a situation where the group’s success depends on positive interaction between the participants, a single member of the team who is irresponsible can have a significant negative impact on the project.
