Athletic Training Educational Program
Graduate Program Overview
The Graduate Athletic Training Education Program provides an opportunity for advanced study of Athletic Training through a research and practice-based model. The central focus of the program is broadly grounded in the exploration of the theoretical, basic, and applied aspects of prevention and rehabilitation of injury and movement dysfunction associated with physical activity. The program is committed to the advancement of Athletic Training through the generation and dissemination of new knowledge and critical analysis of evidence which informs clinical practice. Students will be challenged to refine and apply critical thinking skills to formulate and resolve scholarly questions. Further, the clinical experiences of the program provide an opportunity for students to develop and apply an evidence-based practice approach.
